Indian textile organization put forward to improve cotton export

The South Indian Textile Manufacturers Association called on the central government not to raise cotton exports or cancel the ban on cotton exports.

The president of the association said on January 11th that if the increase of cotton exports is lifted or the export ban is lifted, the domestic cotton price will increase significantly and domestic industries will be seriously affected. The weaving and garment industry has been under great pressure because of the continuous rise in cotton yarn prices. He said that if cotton prices continue to rise, some companies will be forced to stop production and large numbers of people will be unemployed.
