Formaldehyde has the function of stimulating, sensitizing and mutagenic. Its vapor can strongly stimulate mucous membranes, is carcinogenic, and is highly toxic. The pH is a negative value of the logarithm of the hydrogen ion (H+) concentration in the solution. It represents the pH of the solution. The normal skin pH of the human body is between 5.5 and 6.5. The pH of the fabric is too high. In China's GB 18401-2010 "National Textile Product Basic Safety Technical Specification" implemented in 2011, the clothing products are divided into three categories: A, B, and C, which correspond to infant products, direct contact with human skin products, and non-direct contact. Human skin products have clear requirements for both formaldehyde and pH. At the same time, the respective categories should be marked on the tag of the clothing to facilitate consumers to identify and purchase.
